The B'Nai Shalom organization, based in Salt Lake City, UT, brings together members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who have Jewish heritage or who are interested in the cultural and spiritual connections.

Our Special Evening Agenda:

Bring food for the Potluck ! Jewish food if you are inclined... Click for Recipes...

Of course you don't have to bring Jewish food - or any at all - we just want you to come, feel the love, and get the inspiration - but if you want to try it.... Recipes for Jewish food

Israeli Salad, Stuffed Sausage, Latkes, Blintzes, and of course the soup is really really good and welcome.

Come ready to help the evening run smoothly... How to help...

We'll need help in setting up tables, chairs, food in a hurry. Most of the organizers will be doing specifics as well as greeting people.

If you will be table helpers (making sure everyone has water, etc.) we'd be thankful.

After we nosh - before the talk - we must clear the tables in a hurry.

Then at the end, please help put away tables, chairs, getting things back to the appropriate (marked) rooms and locations,

and finally, cleaning up in respect for the use of the building!!

We always feel the spirit of the evening and enjoy visiting. But we must be out at the time agreed with the building coordinator.

Gary Porter, The Presenter

He will talk about the negative pressure from neighbors toward construction of the Phoenix Temple and how it was overcome. And about the improved temple design that grew out of conflict. He will display pictures showing the Church’s approach to building for longevity.

He will include pictures about the Mesa Temple remodel: of past, current, and proposed changes to make the Temple the single focus of Mesa’s Temple Square.

He will also share what he knows about the future Visitor’s Center, Discovery Center, Temple President’s residence, underground parking and future apartments.
